Firefighting Systems Design – Technical & Service Requirements

To ensure high-quality and code-compliant fire protection system designs, Mosbeh Assaf Engineering Consultants follow strict professional and technical standards:

1) Design Standards & Compliance

• Full compliance with NFPA standards (Sprinklers, Fire Pumps, Gas Systems, Hose Reels).

• Application of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) including:

  • SBC 801 – Fire Protection Requirements

  • SBC 807 – Safety & Fire Systems

• Meeting all requirements of the Saudi Civil Defense Authority.

2) Required Documents from Client

• Updated architectural drawings (AutoCAD / PDF).

• Functional layout of each area within the building.

• Ceiling types, heights, and special hazard zones.

• Available water sources, tank capacities, and pump requirements.

• Existing fire protection drawings if available (As-Built).

3) Scope of Work Provided

• Design of automatic sprinkler systems.

• Design of hose reel networks.

• Fire pump room design and pump specifications.

• Gas suppression systems design (FM200, CO2).

• Hydraulic calculations using certified software.

• Preparation of shop drawings and detailed BOQ.

• Complete approval package for Civil Defense submission.
